Today is a big day because I hit the big "50"! Hard to believe, I certainly don't feel like I'm that old! My take is I'm now on day one of my next 50 years, I'm hopefully a lot smarter than when I was the first day of my first 50 years!

The weather is foggy with light rain, but a nice 66F. The rest of the country is blanketed by a huge ice storm from Oklahoma to the midwest. I sure am glad I live in Texas!!

Kids are off to school, Dave is shipping books, and I'm off to the snake house.

Now here is a great way to start my birthday: one of my absolutely most favorite pink panther caramel albinos ovulationg! She has been bred to our male super ghost! Hopefully this will result in a great litter of all triple hets, half of which will be pink panther triple hets!

The male super ghost proved out last year when I bred him to our female jungle and produced an entire litter of orange tail hypos 100% het anery, of which more than half were orange tail hypo jungles 100% het anery.

That male being a super is a key snake for us in making combinations now and for the future.

Male super ghost with female pink panther caramel albino ovulating: This pair is a great combo that will hopefully produce an entire of triple hets, hypo boas 100% het for caramel albino and 100% het for anery. Because the female is a pink panther caramel albino and the "pink panther" is a dominant, we hope to see a good percentage of pink panther triple hets-or actually a snake with 4 different traits.Male super ghost with female pink panther caramel albino ovulating: This pair is a great combo that will hopefully produce an entire of triple hets, hypo boas 100% het for caramel albino and 100% het for anery. The first photo above is two days before ovulation. The photo really shows the dramatic look of the caramel albino compared to the male super ghost. My hope is that combining these two looks will peel the dark layer off of the ghost and reveal a purple/white/silver animal underneath.

Ovulation in double het snow Sharp boa female: This female boa is a double het for snow Sharp, she has the anery and albino genes. I'm looking forward to producing snows, anerys, and albinos from the Sharp lineage. This lineage produces animals with beautiful dark bands for a nice high contrast snake.Ovulation in double het snow Sharp boa female: This female boa is a double het for snow Sharp, she has the anery and albino genes.
