I just get very excited when I see these eggs hatching-both the albino and normal animals out of these breedings are beautiful. Every baby is different and this clutch ended up having 2 normal pattern albinos and one striped albino. Of course I now know that they don't look anything like they are going to!
This all seems kind of dream like to me. Years and years of work and a lot of luck involved. Now we have the chance to get to the point where we can work with the albinos themselves. Starting with a single animal and capturing that gene is a lesson in patience and nerves and to me has always seemed like a big responsibility. It is my job to make sure that people will be able to enjoy and appreciate these animals forever and I take it very seriously. So far I am proud of my record-though sometimes it has taken up to a decade to get a project going. What seems so available today to a lot of herpers took a lot of time, energy, and resources to get here.
