Pythons of the World, Volume 3 The Pythons of Asia and the Malay Archipelago

By David G. Barker, Mark Auliya, and Tracy M. Barker (2018)

This volume in the Pythons of the World series includes an informative account for each of the 29 species and three subspecies of pythons found in Asia and the Malay Archipelago. The Malay Archipelago encompasses the nations and territories of the Indo-Pacific islands bounded on the north by Asia and on the south by Australia, including Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Philippines.

03/14/18 BALL PYTHONS, BLOOD PYTHONS, BOAS AT VPI!

We are working away and things are going really early this year! We are a mere 3 weeks away from our first Ball pythons hatching and our last females are ovulating. The Blood pythons are ovulating and starting to go in their nest boxes, and the Boas are almost finished their ovulations, so that means 120 days and counting until babies!

Here are some pics of what has been going on during this 2018 season!

01/07/16 VPI BOAS 2016

Quick pic for today! The VPI Snowglow and VPI Snow are among my absolute favorite Boa morphs.

This is a long ongoing project and includes multiple generations of captive breeding all done here at VPI.

When you think the odds of getting them are 1/32 for a "t snowglow" and 1/16 for a "t snow" you know when you see one of them it is a lucky day!!

01/04/16 HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!! WELCOME TO VPI 2.0!!

Happy New Year to all!

If you like Ball Pythons, Blood Pythons, Black Sumatran Pythons, Borneo Pythons, and Boas stay tuned!
