04/06/15 Well today was a great surprise!

When something totally unexpected happens when it comes to working with animals it's never surprising. That's the cool thing about working with them, you learn every day. Even after 25 plus years you learn. Frankly I think we are at day one in terms of what we potentially will learn about the particular group of animals we have been working with Boas and pythons.

04/04/15 Day 104 post shed

This is a combination blog from May 1st last year and now, in case you missed the earlier entry just to get up to speed on one of our favorite Boa projects.

01/11/15 IVORY MORPH PYTHON BRONGERSMAI

VPI named the "Ivory" Blood python morph after it was proven as the "super" form of the VPI Matrix. We are really proud of this project because it represents a perfect example of our original goal: to produce all captive bred and hatched animals that are easily identified as not being removed from the wild.  In fact, at this time we are thrilled that after what must be considered a very short time, private breeders working on multiple projects with Python brongersmai, have absolutely become successful at maintaining and breeding this species in captivity.

01/01/15 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Happy new year to all.

We couldn't be happier that 2015 has arrived!

Look for good things this year!!

Look for great things this year!!

In with the positive!!

12/28/14 LAVENDER SNOW CLOWN PIEBALD PYTHON REGIUS PROJECT OF THE FUTURE

Even though I'm designating 2015 as "The Year of the Blood Python," for our Ball python fans fear not, we are working on Ball python projects and bringing some amazing ones together!

Combining just a few of our favorite morphs, some originating here at VPI after a huge amount of work we are able to offer you the maximum short cut! Here we show our progress integrating the Lavender Albino, VPI Axanthic, Clown, and Piebald genes. Of course these are all recessive and we have more work to do!

12/25/14 PART 2

Here is a second, third, and fourth baby of the new VPI Python brongersmai morph. This is not a combination

morph it is a unique morph on its own with nothing added (but they are also 100% het for Red Albino).
