A Yearling Super-Striped Borneo Python

This girl was hatched in 2004, and here photographed in 2005.  She well illustrates the colors and color transformations we are seeing in this lineage. This yearling will continue to change colors for several more years, the oranges and reds continuing to intensify.

This lineage consistently produces Borneo short-tailed pythons with extraordinary colors and patterns. A high percentage of the babies demonstrate striping, and there are several apparently different forms of striping. At this time we are not positive that the striped appearances are due to a single recessive or codominant allele. This lineage shows a great deal of variation in pattern.

From what we have seen, we think this lineage produces the most beautiful Borneos being bred in captivity today.
