Flame-Race Kenyan Sandboa
ID: Flame-Race Kenyan Sandboa
Photographer:

Remarks:
This snake was sold to us as a piebald, but we knew that was unlikely as soon as we laid eyes on it. Well, we hoped it might be some new variation of piebald unique to sandboas, but it turned out to be a "ringer" morph.
Boas and pythons with a normal-colored stomach and one white patch or ring on the posterior body in the area of the kidneys are called "ringers." The ringer appearance is not inheritable.
So it was not a piebald, but it was one of the most beautiful flame-race sandboas we have ever seen.
