Orange Trans-Pecos Ratsnake...really cool

Very rare in collections, this color phase comes from Presidio County in TX near Panther Canyon/Closed Canyon. This male is an '04 CB whose parents were caught at these localities several years ago. We'll hopefully put this golden-orange male with a blonde female or two in '07 to make some snakes that have the potential to throw the world's first Orange Blondes. That orange color should really be brought out more vibrantly with the blonde pattern. I have plans of mixing this orange color with the albinos too. Just a little fun fact...one of my albinos is the son of one of the animals from the very first clutch of albinos in the U.S. that Tracy and Dave hatched out in 1999.
