Whitelip python questions...

Dear VPI,

I have been thinking about getting a pair of white lip pythons (the normal form). Is there anything you can tell me about special care or breeding before I commit? I read your book and a few others but feel there's something missing. Also, do you believe with work they can become tamer then is their reputation?  Thanx Vinny

Captive-raised white lips can be raised to be absolutely the tamest best pet python there is. 

In general the species is quite hardy. The main special requirement of the species is their skin care. They need high humidity, but they don't tolerate poor ventilation or wet conditions at all. It's a challenge to create the right environment and you just have to experiment on how best to do it with your cage and conditions.   DGB.
