The "flame race" are Kenyan sandboas from the isolated population in the region of Dodoma, Tanzania. This is the southmost known population of the species. They are big, and many are extremely orange.
This is one of the original wild-caught flame-race females. She was a large adult over 20" in length when she was imported.
