This is a blood python from a pretty lineage. This snake and its siblings all are very colorful red-albinos. They are fairly red when they hatch and they turn very red as they mature. They have the red and orange wash of color on the pale dorsolateral neck stripes as seen on this specimen. The pale lateral markings have very clean white scales on the margins.
This is a red-albino blood python with faded pale areas scattered through the areas of orange-red pattern. She is a lovely pale example of the morph. She is three years old and is about four feet long. She will get redder with age, but it's likely that she will always be a pale orange snake.
This is a fairly normal two-year old female red-albino blood python. She will beocome increasingly red for at least another couple of years--some gain red for life. This is a friendly girl, with real potential to be an absolute pet.
This is a picture of one clutch of blood pythons that we temporarily housed in small cages while we waited delivery of the new cages in which they now reside. These red-albino youngsters are one year old, and show excellent promise to contribute to our breeding program to create superb red blood pythons. What do you think?
This is a good example of the cherry-bomb lineage. This is a red-albino morph, but a special lineage we have line-bred because of their spectacular color.
This pair of extraordinary blood pythons are each from special projects we are working on. The Red-X is from a lineage of red-albinos that is super-red. The Yellow-Albino is a designer-morph that is the cross between the red-albino lineage and the yellow blood lineage.
C'mon! Look close--is there any doubt that blood pythons are where it's at in the python world these days? And this is just the beginning...
This is an adult het-red-albino, four feet long and a very sweet snake. She has charcoal head and a dark-red, striped appearance. All-in-all, she is a very good looking, fairly normal looking blood python.
Take a look at this young male. He's a beauty by any measure, and he will get redder as he matures. Pay attention to his weight--this is excellent weight for a blood python--not too fat, just right.
This is a young adult red-albino morph. As amazing as it may seem, this snake will get redder with age. This remarkable morph of snake has been bred here at VPI for 10 years. During that time, we have developed several lineages, and there are plenty more variations of this color mutation to work with. This beauty is a nice example of our basic stock, a "regular" red-albino.
