Howdy Herpers,
I've taken to pre-crack-of-dawn herping trips to the Puercos. This allows me to track by daylight, and still see some of the herps in action. The real bonus to operating from 0500 to 1000 is the lizards come out in full force by about 0800.

Howdy Herpers,
Whelp, on Saturday, it was decided that the plot herps needed a break from any Rogerly attentions. Instead, I went to my soooper secret spot. It is a land flowing with milk, honey, and ridgenose rattlesnakes. Also, rock rattlesnakes are as common as sand.
If I told you where this place was, I'd have to kill you all. It is enough for you all to know that such a place exists.

I'm going to just blast off a short and sweet report from Hotland to you all.
SHE'S ALIVE!
The best news we've had from the tiger rattlesnake front happened Saturday morning, 31 May. We've had two tigers that I've not seen since last year. They are CT4, Blakie, and CT6, Gracie. Both went into hibernation (of some form) on October 21 of 2007.

Let's see, we left off up on the hill listening to the signal of (maybe) dead tiger CT4. We now go rapidly downhill, (literally) and into the wash bottom, to track CM9, our no-name male blacktail. We found him coiled in dead wolfberry thicket-not much to say beyond that.

Howdy Herpers,
Well, I have several reports in the hopper, but we'll just have to let them rot a while longer.
Last Saturday, the Peach surfaced on our plot. It was like old times again. Those of us who remained in the Sonoran Desert over Memorial Weekend were treated to Arizona perfect weather all three days. We speak of about 80 degree highs and 60 degree lows. Awesome!
